redesign

Mobile application redesign for Rootd.

An app for relieving stress.

ROLE: UX Designer

and Researcher

SKILLS: Figma, Mural

Adobe Illustrator, Miro

TEAM: Me

3 UX Designers

DURATION: 3 Months

OBJECTIVE

The mobile application my team chose is, 'Rootd'. The app's purpose is to relieve users' stress and anxiety. We had conducted individual user interviews and testing to document our data. Our team's goal was to find and evaluate usability issues in order to make visual interface app improvements and recommendations.

Research Evaluation

rootd_diagram

For our affinity diagram, we had four different sections and put notes in each category. We have a category that displays the common stressors our interviewees shared, their common relievers, and  needs. Common stressors of the user can be translated into an improved design of our selected app. The notes that have the same colored tag at the far right relate to each other in some way, to help us find similarities across all the columns.

rootd_personas

These personas and scenarios enable us to visualize and understand who our potential users are to state their behaviors, experiences, and goals. Understanding who our users are will allow us to move forward in creating improvements for our selected app by ensuring a positive and aesthetic appeal to our target audience for more efficiency throughout the design flow.

rootd_ratings

This evaluation metrics chart analyzes users' satisfaction and error rates for each task provided for them. The experience map helps to visualize individuals' emotions based upon touch and pain points whilst they navigate through their tasks with utilizing the 'Rootd' mobile app.
